Choosing a Consultant or a Coach?
A sports coach comes along side your talent and helps to bring out the best and make you a winner. Having the right coach is extremely important to your success and in a team setting the success or placement of that team. A good business coach will hold you accountable to what goals or strategies you choose. They will be on your side and in your corner no matter what. If you suffer a setback they are there to encourage and support you. We focus on developing YOU to your highest potential, while together we work on developing your business. Coaching is not psychotherapy.
“A career or business coach does not assess and diagnosis your mental health. Nor is a career coach an employment recruiter, placement agency, or headhunting” service.
The net result of small business coaching is that you create a fool-proof plan for moving forward and the coach partners with you to support you in actualizing that plan in you and helps you get into the conversation about what you really want!
A consultant will assess your situation or business and make certain recommendations or corrections within the structure of your company. Often they might elect to take more of a hands on approach or bring in another expert to assist in the change. Such as marketing, sales, web design, CPA’s etc. Consultants also may work on a project for you. The main difference between a coach and a consultant is who is doing the work. We are able to do either depending on your particular needs. While traditional consultants recommend strategies and systems, coaches help you IMPLEMENT these changes and realize success.
